Delhi Metro is working on its 5-year action plan to make Delhi metro more trustable, safe, and built a strong network.
There are many stations and metro lines to be built according to the plan of their 5-year action plan. Once it completed Delhi Metro would be more convenient for the public to travel.
Currently there are 285 stations in Delhi metro rail network and covers total of 391.38 KM. There are total 11 Lines color coded like pink, red, yellow, magenta, blue, etc which operates in delhi. Every line has its own route pre decided which people can remember easily and choose the line in which they have to travel to reach thier desired destination.
Now, Lets see what is the action plan of delhi metro for the year 2020-2025 on which they are working currently.
Delhi Metro five year action plan
1 – DC-05: Design &Construction of 6 underground stations namely Derawal
Nagar, Ghanta-Ghar, Pul Bangash, Sadar Bazar, Nabi-Karim, R.K.Ashram
and Tunnels by TBM/Cut & cover including Ramp in a length of 7460.464
meters. It will be completed by 2023.
2- DC-07: “Design & Construction of Underground Up & Down Tunnels near
Sangam Vihar metro Station up to Tughalakabad Metro Station dead end,
Underground Ramp and Cut & Cover Tunnels near Sangam Vihar Metro
Station and Underground Metro Stations at Maa Anandmayee Marg,
Tughalakabad Railway Colony (Pul Prahaladpur), and Tughlakabad
including Retrieval/Launching shaft on Aerocity-Tughalakabad corridor of
Delhi MRTS Project of Phase-IV”.
3- DC-7A: Finishing works of underground stations between Sangam Vihar
and Tughlakabad stations. – It will be completed by 2025.
4- DC-08: Design and Construction of Twin Tunnel (UP & Down Line) by
Shield TBM, Cut & Cover Tunnel box and four Underground station
station namely Aerocity, Mahipalpur, Vasant Kunj and Kishangarh with
Entry/Exists & Connecting subway from chainage (-) 760 mt. to 5356.285
mt. of Aerocity to Tughlakabad Corridor of Phase-IV of Delhi MRTS. It will be completed by 2023.
