Delhi Metro Grey Line or Line 9 is a line of Delhi Metro Map that connects Dwarka to Najafgarh in the western part of Delhi, India. The line was opened to the public on 4 October 2019 at 5 pm. Another extension of the Dhansa Bus Stand is scheduled to open in December 2020.
The time for the latest version of the Delhi Metro is here. DMRC has opened the Dwarka-Najafgarh Delhi Metro line. It will be known as Greyline and will cover an overall journey of 4.2 km. Dwarka – Najafgarh Corridor, as per information, will have 4 stations. With the opening of this line, DMRC will expand to 377 km with a total of 274 stations.
The urban village of Najafgarh now has a metro link, as Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has opened the gray line route on October 4, 2019. The line was inaugurated by Union Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to link the area with Dwarka on the Blue Line. Now, residents of Najafgarh can be easily reached from other parts of the national capital, including Janakpuri, Karol Bagh, Connaught Place, Ghaziabad, and Noida.
The grey line uses the same rolling stock used on the Pink and Magenta lines, although no platform screen cords have been installed due to low rider estimates.
Dwarka station is the only station in the network that has five platforms at the same level (2 are for Blue Line, 2 are for Grey Line, and the third connects Blue Line to Najafgarh Depot).
Interchange
Connecting with the Blue Line, the Dwarka station has a single interchange of the line for the rest of the Delhi Metro network. The grey line uses standard gauge tracks, while the blue line was made with wider Indian gauge tracks.
