Kochi Metro: With the gradual increase in the number of passengers in the last 15 days, Kochi Metro new timing has been decided to extend the train services in both morning and evening from Monday. As per the revised new timings, the metro services will start from Monday to Friday at 7 am and end at 9 pm.
Since Kochi Metro services were restored after the lockdown during the second wave of Covid from the first week of July, metro’s were rescheduled at 30-minute intervals between 8 am and 8 pm.
In view of the gradual increase in the number of passengers during the last fortnight, Kochi Metro services will operate from 7 am to 9 pm from Monday.
Kochi Metro New Timing

In a statement issued by Kochi Metro on Friday, it has been said that from Monday, services will be provided on the frequency of 10 minutes in peak hours and 15 minutes in non-peak hours from 7 AM to 9 PM. This is the kochi metro new timing.
On Saturday and Sunday, the services will be available at a frequency of 30 minutes from 8 am to 8 pm as the state government has announced a complete lockdown on both days.
But keeping in view the UPSC Engineering Services Exam (Pre) 2021 on Sunday, train services will start from 7 am instead of 8 am. From both terminal stations, with a frequency of 15 minutes, until 10 a.m.
This is to facilitate the candidates to reach the examination centers on time. KMRL said that after 10 AM, metro trains will run every 30 minutes.
UPSC Engineering Services Exam is scheduled to be held on Sunday, July 18, Metro services will start from 7 AM instead of 8 AM from both Aluva and Petta terminal stations and will operate at a frequency of 15 minutes till 10 AM for the convenience of the candidates to travel. After 10 am, services will be available only at a frequency of 30 minutes.
